Devolo Cockpit - Shows no devices but everything is fine!

The question is about Devolo Cockpit - the network devices all work well.
This is what Cockpit frequently shows.

After a clumsy uninstall - it doesn't do it cleanly - a re-install and a reboot, it works correctly:

Devolo Cockpit - Shows no devices but everything is fine!-devolo2.jpg

However, soon after it will revert back to the empty screen, sometimes giving an error message in German (which I wrote down but have lost!) to the effect there is no network - but there is, working just fine.

The problem seems to hinge around around a file call plcnetui.exe which is part of Cockpit.

    Devolo support is unhelpful.

My Windows 10 ver is 1909 Build 18363.836

I have exactly the same problem, thank you glad to know I'm not the only one!
Devolo support just tell me it must be my system somehow blocking the power line plugs but I don't think this is true!

As you say Amp, good to know I'm not alone.

As far as I can see, my set up is fine.

My PC is wired straight into the router as is the cable for the Devolo which is plugged into the mains socket as per their instructions . Other gizmos like printers and NAS drives are via third cable and a switch.

It works well Just the Cockpit doesn't like it!

It works if re-installed or the PC is re- booted. So probably not firewall related.

Hi John got my cockpit working! I was trying to cure an auto scrolling mouse and tried doing a search for windows updates I'm set up for auto install updates so didn't expect to find any but I did (KB4497165) I installed it and it didn't fix my mouse (removed Bluetooth usb and shut down, replaced and started to fix). I thought i'll just try cockpit to see and it worked.

Yes, if I reboot it all seems fine, but then later it reverts back to a blank view.

Since updating to Win10 Ver 2004 Build 19041.329, Cockpit seems to be working.

Hi John I've had problems with my sky broadband (sky admit it hasn't been working) so reset all my devolo plugs reconnected and got message update available so I installed new cockpit 5.1.4 (2020-07-15) and I don't want to bring bad luck but it now seems to work especially just before I log off every evening, might be worth trying to see if it works for you?
