How do I disable ALL "Connect Automatically" check boxes in Windows 10

I want a command, power shell script, registry change, Act of Congress, Executive Order, magic spell, potion, or extraterrestrial intervention to automatically disable the "functionality" of all Windows 10 Available Networks "Connect Automatically" check boxes for networks I've never signed into. I don't want to hide those networks, just disable the check box function. Alternatively, if that's not possible, I want to disable the checkbox function completely, but still see the available networks.

    Welcome to Ten Forums Krazny.

Why? you will never be connected automatically to any secured network you've never signed in to because you do not have a password for it.

You can only ever connect automatically to a secured network that you have previously signed in to and provided the correct password. The default of having the box ticked before you sign in ensures that next time you are near that network you'll connect automatically - but only to a network you have previously chosen to connect to. You will note that the default for any Open network is that the 'Connect automatically' box is NOT ticked.

I'm sorry, but that's not correct. Every network in my neighborhood has the "Connect Automatically" box checked, and I've never logged in to any of them. There are probably a hundred complaints about this issue in various web forums and, apparently there is no solution. I'm fine with having the box checked for networks I've logged into, but automatically logging in to an open network or hotspot I've never logged into is a security risk.

My password manager saves the logins, so I'm perfectly OK with nuking that checkbox.

That's because every network in your neighbourhood is a secured network. You could not log in to them even if you wanted to because you don't have the security key. That's why it's of no consequence that 'automatically connect' is ticked. You can only connect if you know the password.

An open network is different, anyone can connect to them which is why the 'connect automatically' box is always unticked by default for all open networks. You can tell a secured WiFi network from an open one in two ways, it will say 'secured' or 'open' beneath the SSID name and an open WiFi network has a shield in its icon to warn you.

That makes perfect sense. Apologies for my confusion.
