Looking for a simple, free network tool

    Hey guys;
I am looking to map my local home network.
My Optimum Altice router doesn't give me the info I want.
I am looking for a free and simple tool that I can install locally to view the ip addresses and hostnames of each connected device.

    What do you recommend?
    Thanks

Right-click on the Start button -->Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    Run the following command:

    Ipconfig /all

    Hello @ultrarunner2020,

If you want a .txt file [ hard copy ] of the data / information then please perform the following . . .

[1] Goto this TenForums link => Batch Scripts / Programs.
[2] Goto the heading ipconfig /all and download the .bat file.
    [3] Run Option [2].

If you want a more detailed analysis, then please let me know!

    I hope this helps!

The nirsoft have many portable network utilities that might also help with your request.

ipconfig /all only provides information for the computer it is being run on. The OP wants to map his entire LAN.

This app will provide IP info from your wifi network.

This other, endless details of all wifi signals received.

Both these two apps and more are available at https://www.nirsoft.net/network_tools.html as Freebooter mentioned earlier.

I went to nirsoft.net and downloaded "netresview"
When I run it, I only see one computer: "\\tsclient"
I tried running it from the command line with switches, but still see only that one entry. Even when I use the switch "DisplayComputers" and/or "RetrieveIPAddresses" I see only the one entry.
I tried temporarily disabling ESET firewall, but that didn't do anything.

I haven't tried the program W10 Tweaker suggested because I'm not looking for WiFi; I'm looking for wired Ethernet.

All of that said, I can get the info I want from ESET Internet Security, but as with the Optimum app, I can't see the IP addresses until I click the device in the list.

I have found some 'sniffer' utils, but I really don't want/need to sniff packets.
The reason I wanted this info in the first place was that ESET was reporting an attack of some sort, then a duplicate IP address from the same computer, which is my Raspberry PI 3. I hardly think that the Raspberry is trying to attack my network; It's a false positive by ESET.
I did disable the WiFi on the Rpi, as I have it wired. Perhaps it was trying to use the same IP for wired and wireless? That doesn't make sense though...

That only shows my computer, and any UPnP devices, which includes only the OOL (Altice) router and my second router.

I'm still searching for a wired router solution but it would be helpful to know the make and model of your modem and router and if you're using dhcp.

If you're using dhcp, you could obtain the arp list which will show assigned and active IPs with mac addresses. Cross-check the mac addresses to make certain they are known devices on your network.

It has been so long, I don't recall if this works with static IPs, probably, as long as their not hard coded into the device.

Open an Administrative Command Prompt and enter arp -a followed by enter.

The first section is my wifi network and the second is my ISP's modem.
