    Trying to determine if it is your computer or router giving you the issue. Most modern phones connect to the 5Ghz band.

    If I want to use 5GHz, all that I use is the Dual Band Wireless LAN USB adapter. What else can work with the Dual Band Wireless LAN USB adapter?

    Trying to eliminate router as cause of your failures.

    So my connecting another device to it, say a phone, you could see if the problem re-occurs.

    Can you connect your Dual Band Lan USB to a friends router and see if same behavior occurs.
