    Advanced Sharing Settings keeps resetting

In order to share files between computers on the same local network I need to go into Control Panel/Network and Sharing Center/Change Advance Sharing Settings and enable "Turn on network discovery" and "Turn on file and printer sharing."

I enable these settings on the three windows 10 computers in my network. Two of those computers are NUC's. On one of the NUC's those Advanced Sharing settings will somehow keep getting reset to off. The settings will initially save and work for a random period of time, but after some unknown trigger those settings will spontaneously change to off. At that point I can't access the files on that NUC. The other NUC does not have this problem.

All my machines are running 1909, but this issue has been present for a long time.

Any ideas on how to keep those Advanced Sharing settings from resetting?

If you see the linked computer in file explorer (network list on left) from another computer, click on it...if it asks for credentials, enter your MS sign in name (phone # or email) then the pass word you gave that computer.

So this happened again. The computer in question (NUC #1) does NOT show up in Network file explorer. The second computer (NUC #2) does show up.

When this happens, the following settings get changed:

If I manually enable those settings, NUC #1 shows up in Network file explorer.

I have a theory as to when this happens...my router seems to lose connection briefly every so often (with all the computers connected to it, ethernet or wifi). My theory is that when that brief disconnection happens it somehow resets those sharing settings on NUC #1.

But NUC #2 never changes those settings and always shows up on the network.

I'm sorry....all of this is so puzzling. It took 6 months for both my computers to be seen together and I grabbed them, using my credentials
