awaking PC from sleep, and the inability to rejoin the net - Solution?

Long standing problem for many people - awaking PC from sleep, and the inability to rejoin the net. This happens on all my PC's - both Ethernet and Wireless connected ones. Sometimes no problem, other times it fails.
On the wireless ones, they often show the connected icon at start, and shortly after this it shows no connection.
OK so a restart will overcome the problem - but it is annoying nevertheless. Has a definitive 'fix' been discovered yet?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

I would suggest a more descriptive title. It will not only help you but others seeking a answer to the same problem.

Ditto Winuser. The Subject line should give a short description of what or where the problem is.

Because of such problems with Sleep and Hibernation I usually end up setting them to Never on those computers that seldom run on battery power only.

Thanks for your response and comments - point taken about subject title.
In essence then the answer to my question is NO.

I think 'an' answer has been found, as stated above by Berton

... with which I totally agree is a practical solution.

Now, whether it's 'the' answer is another thing ....
