Looking into poor performance..No PLC detected!

    Hi,
I have a system of Devolo devices which support a mix of Power Adapters and WiFi. I am running Win 10 on all my PC devices, Android on others. Generally, these have worked well, but I noticed from a laptop that the WiFi response to a particular network (Kitchen) was quite slow. So, I ran Devolo Cockpit..and it came up with "No plc device found"! Yet I was using the Kitchen network.
If I run Devolo Cockpit from another PC, connected via LAN, the Kitchen Devolo device is found and appears to be working normally. If I now use WifI on this PC, the device is not found by Cockpit. So it appears that from the Devolo-Wifi point of view the device is invisible...but it is in use via WiFi by several devices in the house.
I am using an Asus modem..and it has not changed in several months. This is just something I am looking into now that I have time (thanks to coronavirus :-( )

All ideas and suggestions graefully received

    George

    Welcome to TenForums @gbCambridge

Do these extenders have the ability to shut off broadcasting of SSID's.

Are all wireless connections set has Private network, I've seen Windows default to Public.

How long as the device in kitchen been slow?

If you right click Start, click run, type ncpa.cpl, enter, right click on wireless connection, click on Status - what is the connection speed of this slow device in kitchen.
