HDD not allowing Dropbox or Onedrive connection after new profile add

    Hi Guys
Not sure if this is connected but sounds like it.
My other half has started working from home and i set up a new profile on my Pc.
I knew they needed some software to download from work.

But when i go into my profile i now find OneDrive & Dropbox cannot see the D:/ which they have used for years!
I have tried adding it back but neither add will allow that drive to be used?

When i look at what was installed i see a troublesome item Webroot SyncAnywhere Endpoint for the life in me i cannot remove it.
I have tried everything on their website but it will not go. It looks like it is controlled by a central location.
I cannot even stop it from booting up I have it disabled but it starts.
I cannot change any settings again centrally controlled.
I have tried Control Panel & Terminal Window "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" –uninstall

But nothing works anybody help me get rid of it please ?

Also getting an annoying Splash screen saying i have to belong to my partners organization to use this pc.
Does not stop me getting in but would like to remove that .

Installed was MS Teams, Skype for Buisness, MS Office Pro Plus (not needed i had office 365 installed ).

Also none of my programs have access to my D drive anymore????

Any chance your wife can call support and they help remove it, especially if it is controlled centrally. Hopefully they have on-call staff. They have even have a removal document.

Do you use Restore Points ?

Do you Image system, if not another reason to start.

Might need autoruns from sysinternals to get at registry starts.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sys...loads/autoruns

    Then with it disabled use

    revo uninstaller.

Before trying to remove this I would create a System image using a third party tool. This app may not like to be tampered so you will want a restore path. I use Macrium, as do many members, however there are lots of tools out there.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

I this the best courser of action is Image and call company support.

Can you go back earlier. Restore Points are just not a reliable way to fallback. I know many members have have great success with them, others have not.

    What did company support say?

Do you have the gear necessary to Image your system?

I can back up to an Unraid server but what is the point of taking an image of an unsable system.

    My 365 no longer works
    D Drive not accessible
Some apps not opening like Notepad ++

    It's a shit show

You back up so if one of the fixes makes it worse you have a path back. Better to have and not need than have and need.

Those items in Autoruns, did you disable?

    What did company support say?

There is always the nuclear option although not sure how many programs and customiztions you have.

    Remove check mark to disable.

The corporation is likely protecting all drives so people can't scrape information from their systems and save to local devices.

Removing check marks may have unexpected consequences as I mentioned before. Did you create and test boot media with your image?
