    Unable to see 5G network.

    Hello. Posted on reddit and no help so I came here.

    I am able to see my 2.4G wifi but not my 5G on my pc. My phone is currently connected to my 5G and my ISP says all conditions are normal. I am able to see other 5G networks but not mine. My network card is a Asus PCE-AC51. It supports 2.4G and 5G. My network drivers are up to date, and in my advanced settings my wireless mode is set to auto. If I manually set to 802.11b/g/n I see my 2.4G. If I manually set to 802.1a/n/ac I dont see my 2.4G network. Ive searched google and have found no success so far. Thank you.

    Windows version 1909 (Build 18363.720)

    I dont know what other information would be helpful to help diagnose my problem. Please let me know.

    You do not say what "my" 2.4/5GHz is - your router? / your Wireless ISP?
    Has this computer ever been able to see the 5GHz signal from your router? / your Wireless ISP?.
    Have there been any changes to the signal transmitted by your router? / your Wireless ISP?

    To check what the signal is that is being sent, you would need to assess it on another computer [one that can see it]. The tool to use for this would be NirSoft's WiFiInfoView.

    {I suggest you always write 2.4GHz & 5GHz because "5G" has a meaning of its own.}

    Yes, I mean my 5Ghz wifi. It used to be able to see the 5Ghz network. No there have not been any changes to the router. I am able to go into my router settings and change the channel it broadcasts too. Are there any programs like NirSoft's WiFiInfoView for iOS?

    I don't know anything about iOS.

    Are there any warning icons in Device manager?
    Has there been a WiFi card driver update?

    I am confused about one thing. Why, in your inital post, did you refer to your ISP?

    Please clarify:
    a) cannot see 5G
    b) can see 5G but cannot connect

    Apparently yes...

    We’ve been informed you can do this with Apple’s own AirPort Utility application. Enable and use the “Wi-Fi Scanner” feature inside the app.
