    Hi Folks,

This will not surprise you but it might save someone a few minutes.
I do a lot of work with Devolo powerline plugs and have a good number working around the house.
Yesterday my network was having a funny five minutes so I launched the application (version4-3-0) on one p.c.. The program opened and there was a message in German informing me there was no adaptor connected. There was; I could see it! The adjacent desktop, connected to the same duo adaptor gave a similar message, considerately, in English. Had a quick Google but nothing came up.

This morning, same story except I connected a laptop running version 4-1-3 directly to the router (NOTE-NO ADAPTOR CONNECTED) and all worked fine. After another quick Google I took the obvious step of going to the devolo website and downloading the latest software (4-3-1) and running it. After a brief flash of, "No adaptor" in German and no plug icons all came to life as usual.

If you have any other Devolo questions please just ask. I have dealt successfully with many of them.

I have a Devolo dLan AV 200 AV Wireless N WP which I haven't used for some time. I have recently tried to set it up. In the Devolo cockpit it recognises the 200 AV mini but will not recognise the 200 AV Wireless. I am wanting to change the password of the 200 AV Wireless. I did change it before but I have reset the 200 AV Wireless back to factory settings and it has reverted back to the original which is a pain to remember. The 200 AV wireless is not working as a power adaptor although it is working in my situation. I have a hard wired lan conection behind my TV. If I connect the 200 AV wireless unit to this I can use the other 2 LAN ports on the wireless unit for my Smart TV and my Amazon Fire TV which sucessfully connect to the internet. The wireless function is working on the adapter because I can connect my ipad to it. However I would like to change the wireless name and the password. Can anyone help me with this ?
    best regards
    Norman

    Yes Norman.

The Wireless 200 N is great when it works but the least reliable in the range and I have had dozens; many of which have had to be binned.

You need to use the Devolo Cockpit program, hover over the 200N icon and if you are lucky four pop out boxes appear. Click on the top one (if it does not show you may need to delete Cockpit and reinstall or find and download and run Devolo Wiress Configuration - originally supplied with their blue 85 Wireless model - or get a web address for the Devolo from your router and copy and paste it into your web browser address box.) IT MAY TRY TO OPEN IN MICROSOFT EDGE BUT STALL; IF SO COPY THE WEB ADDRESS AND PASTE INTO INTERNET EXPLORER.

Then with the wireless configuration page open click WLAN configuration on the left of the page, Then click on access point, centre top and scroll down to WPA/WPA2 at bottom of page. Alter your password at the bottom right.

If you have further trouble, private message me with a phone number. If that will not work the majority of second hand Devolos on the web are mine. Find one and message me that way. You will have to buy something to be able to give me contact details but I will help you for free.

    Hope this helps,

    Mike.

Devolo dLan 200 AV Wireless N WP

    Hi Mike
You kindly replied to my query about changing the password on my 200AV Wireless. I tried to reply to you through the peronal message section but it wouldn't let me. It said I had to do 10 posts before I could use this facility!!
I have given up on the Devolo and purcased a set of TP Link units. They are so much easier to set up.
    Thanks for help anyway.
    regards

    Devlo Cockpit Problems

    Hi Mike
I hope you don't mind me asking you, I have a problem with My Devolo 500 and you seem to no a lot of knowledge on this topic and helped many of the guys get there system going.
I have followed the videos and setting up guide and still having problems, I connect the Dlan duo via ethernet cable to my Sky Q router the Dlan flashes green light, I then place one of the 500 wireless modules next to it and wait why they both flash green lights for a while then after about 1 Min on both modules I get a steady green lights. I then connect on my Pc running on wireless to my router and load up the cockpit software and it says no PLC device found.
    Kind Regards

Hi Gary got locked out so using another account.
    1. You need a Devolo connected to YOUR ROUTER.
    2. Check both Devolos are paired and therefore showing both "house" shaped lights illuminated.
    3. You may need to connect your pc to your router via LAN Cable to see the information on Cockpit (nevertheless, even if not and the Devolos are paired your sky Q box should be talking to your router - IS IT SET TO LAN CABLE connection rather than wifi???

    Hi mike
I got a little problem with my devolo 1200+. So every morning when I wake up, my devolo 1200+ loses somehow the connection to the main devolo connected to the router. So I go on my laptop and connect myself to another devolo in my home and then in the devolo cockpit app I see a gray arrow between my devolo 1200+ and the devolo duo connected to the router, then I just deactivate and reactivate the powersaving mode of the devolo duo and the connection gets reestablished and the arrow gets green. So it seems like my devolo 1200+ gets disconnected to the devolo duo after a period when I’m not using the devolo 1200+ like at night when I’s sleeping until the morning when I wake up. So I wanted to ask if you maybe have a suggestion that could fix this little issue so I don’t have to do this whole devolo cockpit process every morning.

Hi dylribe. I see this often enough. And you already have the answer; just turn the power save mode off. For the record, I sell lots of Devolos on, you know where, and always ship them with it off so buyers do not unneccessarily think they have gone wrong.
Then there are the wifi models which arrive with the wifi management page passworded and no password!!

    Hey Mike
I just tried that yesterday leaving the powersave mode off but when I woke up today I got the same result I stilk had the gray arrow between my devolo 1200+ and the devolo duo and had to activate the powermode again and deactivate it to fix it. Do you have maybe another solution?
