    Wi Fi

    Win10
Both my hp desktops refuse to connect to
wi fi. Even tried with plug in adapter.
I can access the site on my android phone and tablet.
I thought maybe the latest update may be at fault.
I've connected and disabled the wifi built in adapters many times. Thanks

Did you installed latest version of network card driver?

Do you get any error message when you try to connect to wireless router?

This can't be the answer. But, it's late, I'm tired and this random thought came to mind.

    5 GHz router - 2.4 GHz adapters?

I'm still trying to figure this out.

I hooked up an old Netgear Genie adapter and was able to find the network I was supposed to get if the internet worked.
The wireless connection shows on my network connections page as Wi Fi 4 and it works fine.

This tells me none of the HP built in adapters are working when enabled-Wi Fi or ethernet.
But because this is happening on 2 identical machines, I am really confused.

too much of a coincidence. Either a driver problem or incompatibility.

Are The HP computers set to Airplane Mode. Or if they are older computers, is the "Radio" switch in the on position?

Go to: Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane Mode.

Make sure that Airplane Mode is off and Wireless network connection is on.
