NAS seen as folder not drive

    two problems


    WD now intentionally makes MyCloud list as file under network, a chance since its original installation.
    Norton does not have the local backup but does list a external drive connected by USB, but Windows does.
    BTW, I use Chrome, Edge gets in my way with clickbait.

    "Click bait" is dependent on what one deems it to be. No different in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari

    I guess it "might" depend on which MY Cloud unit you get cause my posted images shows folders (mapped as drives).

    Have you tried to point Norton to the NAS for backup? Acronis allows this....

    Again, probably depends on the unit. BTW my NAS unit requires a network cable connection.

    Yes


    Attempting to point it there, the NAS is Not seen as a drive. Norton does not allow access to folder.
    Their website told me that. This fell apart when my router died, new one installed. With new phone, I also have memory to allow room for the app.
    NAS is connected via multiple ports on router, CAT 5e
