    Cannot Disable Remote Assistance

This has me baffled and at my wits end, tried just about everything but no success, basically in the Remote Assistance box is agreyed out check box that I cannot uncheck. Secondly if I press the advanced button then in the Remote Control box the Allow this computer to be controlled remotely checkbox isn't greyed out yet everytime I uncheck it then go back in it has somehow re-checked itself?
    Any thoughts anyone ?

Yes, hit OK, back to the previous box, hit apply then ok there too, then if I click remote settings from system in control panel it's back checked

Odd the settings are grayed out. Are you signed in to an administrator account?

You might see if you may be able to use option 2 in the tutorial below with a .bat file instead to disable Remote Assistance.

Do you have any Remote Assistance group policies configured?

No, all that's off, one of the first things I checked, any related services are disabled also

    - - - Updated - - -

I have possibly had some sort of break through >

    I navigated to :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server
    &
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services

then deleted all entries under each of the keys and now I can uncheck/check the options - seems to have worked, well so far so good.

Yes, when it is disabled via policies, it is greyed out like that. For the record:
    Code:
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WinRM\Service\WinRS" /v "AllowRemoteShellAccess" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v "fAllowToGetHelp" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v "fAllowUnsolicited" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v "fAllowUnsolicitedFullControl" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v "fDenyTSConnections" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v "TSAppCompat" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v "TSEnabled" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v "TSUserEnabled" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f

    reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Remote Assistance" /v "fAllowToGetHelp" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Remote Assistance" /v "fAllowFullControl" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
