Upgrade Wireless Card to Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300

Hi again, i'm back with another question.

I'd like to upgrade to a 5ghz wifi card, as this current laptop only has a Intel Centrino Wireless N 2230 . Would i be correct in assuming that this card Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 WLAN PCIe Half Wifi Card 04W00N 4W00N 633ANHMW | eBay would be plug and play? When i removed the bottom cover i can see i have 3 antenna wires but only 2 are hooked up. Also i would not loose Bluetooth correct? I think this laptop as a separate Bluetooth card, but can any one confirm?

I see something that may be a problem
N 2230 has two antennas
N 6300 has three antennas

Why don't just use a Wi-Fi USB dongle?

For any one wondering if you can do this on a M18X R2, you can!

I ordered the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 5ghz wireless card off Ebay for 5 dollars, and it was as simple as plug and play. Since the laptop had all three antenna wires already with only 2 of them being used with the N2230 , everything just plugged in to the color matching clips on the card.

Speeds are much better on 5Ghz.

Good or you. How much did you pay for the card? This will help others decide if it is worth it, or they could just buy a cheap USB Wi-Fi dongle labeled 802.11n 150Mps. Of course the advantage of the card is not to use a precious USB port and possibly better signal. Could you describe how strong the signal is (in terms of distance from the router, walls in between etc)?

Oops, I forgot to mention that most USB Wi-Fi dongles are 2.4GHz, so take care to buy a 5GHz one! I'm afraid these are not that cheap...

Only $5.40? That's unfair... products get too expensive here in Greece after adding the customs and shipping costs...
