    free VPN for EDGE

I have not paid much attention to using a VPN until recently. From time to time I use Opera with its built in VPN, it is a good browser anyway, but I want to continue with Edge as my default especially with the new version ---- so I thought it time to see what free VPNs I might use. Unfortunately the first one I considered, ChrisPC VPN is being blocked by Malwarebytes with a warning that the site contains a Trojan! There are only a few VPNs in the MS Store, and those I looked at seem to be dodgy in the extreme if the reviews are to be believed. However, the number of VPNs, including free ones, in the market place are so numerous as to be overwhelming. Some pointers would be welcome.

I will read this site's tutorial on the Opera VPN with interest. It seems to me that MS is 'missing a trick' here. An inbuilt VPN for the new Edge would be a good selling point I would have thought. Or at the very least make sure there is a decent one in the Store ---- or what about the Chrome Store options we can now use?

Free VPN's are always going to suck or have privacy and malware issues as somebody needs to pay for the bandwidth and infrastructure.

I use nordvpn as it's really cheap on a 3 year deal, but my use is only infrequent for testing browsing our sites from different locations so I couldn't really say if it's any good to use all the time, however it's been great when I have used it.

Totally agree - I use it a lot and it's performance is great. It also has some filters and I find it cuts out a lot of annoying popups eg ads when browsing, so I pretty much all the time now even though I have adplus as well.

Can you disable it for certain sites. I view a lot of websites for work and need to be able to see the whole site.
