Windows 10 Killed my Network Connections

    Hello,

I "upgraded" to Win10 using the Free Upgrade option on 8/8/15. Immediately after starting Win10 I lost my connection to my LAN (TP-Link router) and my Bluetooth USB stick stopped working. I get a unidentified network message that says I have a bad IP address configuration when I run diagnostics on the network connection.

I have a TV and PS4 connected to the LAN and 2 wireless cameras, 2 ipads & 2 iphones all connected to my router which are functioning fine. Windows reports that my network driver is working properly but nothing I do will get it to connect to the router anymore.

I tried just about everything I could think of....I reset my router to factory defaults, manually sett IP addresses in Win10, changed ipv4 & ipv6 settings, deleted & reinstalled my network driver....nothing works. At the CMD prompt I can do (ipconfig /release) but when I do (ipconfig /renew) I get an error message and it fails.

I have found new Win10 64bit drivers for my INTEL I217-V network motherboard adapter which I will install tonight....but I doubt this will help since this seems to be a more pervasive problem, since the Blue Tooth adapter is dead also.

Ohh yea BTW, I reverted back to my Win7 64bit install and this problem persists and I can't do anything here as well.

Please help, a good part of my homes entertainment system is dependent on my PC internet connection.

    Thanks,

    New Intel Drivers Restored Connectivity

I managed to DL and install the latest network device drivers for my motherboard and that fixed the connectivity issue that followed me back to Win7 from Win10.

This is the driver package from the Intel site: ProWINx64.exe

    I won't be trying Win10 again for a while.
