Windows 10 freezes when attempting to connect to WiFi

    Hi all.

Windows 10 slows down considerably / almost freezes when I try to connect to WiFi via my wifi-adapter.

    Everything was fine yesterday.
I forced shut-down my PC late at night, by holding down the power button (which I do often), but when I woke up today, Windows 10 was very sluggish.

I narrowed down the problem to the WiFi adapter: Realtek RTL8811AU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB 2.0 Network Adapter

I tried resetting my network a few times, joining multiple different wifi networks (no success), uninstalling and reinstalling the network adapter's driver, installing driver from the manufacture's website.. but nothing seems to work?

The Wifi connection hangs up on: "No internet, secured"

Thanks for any help in advance

Update: ended up resetting my PC and re-installing Windows 10 (kept personal data).

Multiple driver installations and files must've been conflicting the network stack
