    Ethernet network general settings


    Winver 18363.628

    Had a problem following an update (18363.535) that the computer was reporting "unplugged cable" as a problem for no internet. Did some troubleshooting and was guided to set the [Speed & Duplex] to 100Mbps Full Duplex. That fixed it. Checking settings today and it is set on [Auto Negotiation] where it was set when I had the problem.

    There is no problem now, and was wondering if the majority of users are set to [Auto Negotiation]?? as a normal setting.

    Its rare full duplex works at home as it sends and recieves data at the same time and msot routers cant handle that if your doing heavey work
