    WiFi connection troubles

I have had troubles connecting with my WiFi recently. I have watched multiple tutorials and none have helped but I've narrowed down the problem I beleive. When I go to device manger and check network adapters there is no wireless option in there. I'm on an Asus f540la laptop. I've installed and updated all the drivers I think would help. I have done a full reset of my laptop and deleted all past files (none were that important). I don't usually do posts or ask for help like this but I start school in a week and I'm getting desperate. Any ideas would help. (and yes i have checked and there's no switch on my laptop that turns WiFi on and off and I've tried all the function key options)

Hello, your driver page appears to be this: your PC appears to be a Win 10 x64 machine.
    F540LA | ASUS Global

Have you tried manually installing a driver from there if there's none shown in your device manager?
I've installed and updated all the drivers I think would help.
Are you saying you've installed the relevant driver, restarted, and the driver is still not present?

Please post a screenshot of your device manager showing what is missing.

What do you see if you rt click your internet icon in the system tray and click Troubleshoot Problems?

I've installed the drivers you recommended and I've followed the instructions (and restarted).nothing has changed. maybe I'm missing a step? I'm currently plugged into an ethernet cable right now, which is what the troubleshooter told me to do.

You can try rt clicking in that device manager dialogue, click Scan for hardware changes, but it rather looks as if the hardware is simply not visible to the PC.

It would be interesting to try a live boot disk to see if tha conclusion is identical:
    Toolkit Item: Kyhi’s Rescue Disk – Win10.Guru
    - download the iso, create a bootable disk from it using instructions as here e.g. Option 4 (but using this iso):
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

Boot your PC from that and see if you can connect then.

hi sorry I have been a bit busy lately. I have returned to fix the issues and use your method and I have decided to have a look on google to see why my drivers weren't properly installing. I discovered a fix. I did a full reset of my laptop after installing the driver(shut down wait 15 mins and turn on rather than just clicking restart) and my drivers have been properly installed. thanks for the help I greatly appreciate it.
