Alienware Desktop Can't Connect to 5G-Band (wired or wifi)

My brother's computer is an alienware aurora r5 desktop from dell, service tag 486HMD2, running windows 10 home on latest updates

last time I made a topic in the hardware section about needing some new wifi cards for my father's computer and his computer, mainly because my father's wifi card isn't rated to connect to the 5G-Band on our fiber optic internet box, and my brother's computer just won't connect to the 5G-Band at all (wifi or ethernet). Now we managed to get CAT6 Ethernet cables connected to the fiber optic box and to our (me and my brother's) computers and its working fine for me, says im on the 5G-Band, and I thought his killer networking ethernet thing would connect to the 5G-Band just as good, but for some reason (yes the drivers on his computer are indeed updated, no worries there), his ethernet connection is only allowing him connection to the standard 2.4G connection

Now I ran muyltiple dism and sfc scans on his computer, no corruptions, ran a chkdsk /scan /r /f on his computer (running a samsung 970 500 GB nvme ssd for his OS drive), and everytime after the fact and I try to connect him to the 5G again, nothing doin for it.

I can't find the name of the brand that our fiber optic internet box is associated with, but I got the model and serial numbers if that'd help (Model #:844GE-1, S/N: XXXXXXXXXX). If there's any setting I need to tinker with on this fiber box or his computer, ill do so after making needed backups of settings and the like

I assume you are connecting to a router and if you are using a wire you do not have to worry what the network is called, from the router to your modem it uses the fastest speed. 2.4 and 5 are wireless network frequencies.

With wire connected to router can you go to speedtest.net and test your speed. Should be really fast. Run test on yours. Numbers should be similar.

Then go to dell and download the latest qualcomm wireless driver. Disconnect the wire. Check the version number currently install in device manager for the wireless adapter and then install this new driver. Ensure the version is correct after install.

If you still cant see the 5 band, go Start > Settings > Update and security > troubleshooters and then find the one for the Network adapters. Do this wire disconnected.

If this doesn't work Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Scroll down to the bottom of right hand side of page and run Network Reset.

The Killer drivers are only for your wire connection.
