    Hi Help needed please

running windows 10 on an acer travel mate laptop.

Window 10 keeps ticking the box which shuts down my wi -fi to save power. Can I switch this off permenantly. I switch it off and it comes back on.

I have quite a problem resetting the wifi.

when I check the AVG secure VPNit tells me it needs futher installing. ~~~~Device ROOT\NET\0000 requires further installation.

When I check the WIFI adapter it also tells me it needs further installation. -----------

    Device PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_E042105B&REV_01\4&3265adab&0&00E1 requires further installation.

Cannot work out how to get around this.

    Frusration level is very high!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Any help would be appreciated...

    The musican.

    Hi and welcome to W10F.
Where are you setting WiFi power saving feature, Here:

or in device manager ? May want to make same setting in both places if they exist.

    Thank you for your comments.
Have repeatedly tried changing the powere settings in both places to no effect.
Wifi has just closed down again and I have had to reboot it.
This time I tried disabling the broadcom network adaptor as a different approach and this worked with out having to reboot the computer.

Having to do this is really frustrating!!!!!!!t
It will switch off the wifi when I am in the middle of work and all is lost.

Noting your comment about Broadcom - this has a reputation for problems in certain builds of Win 10.

I note despite the new forum prompt to specify your build number, this seems to be unstated.
Win key + R, winver. Thanks.

Which model is your laptop? I guess it may be older.
