I have an A40 mobile, on which I have the Samsung Calendar, the Google Calendar and a DigiCal calendar, I mostly use the latter as I find it simpler to use and clearer with different colours for different events/people.
My wife has joined the technological era and bought an Amazon Fire 8hd tablet and we would like to sync her Google Calendar on her Fire with my A40 Digical. Err Simples?....not very.
On the Fire I have enabled the full Google play and installed the full Google Calendar app not the cut down Amazon store offering. It seems to sync fine with both devices on at the same time as my PC which also has the Google calendar. However events do not sync if either the A40 or the Fire is not on, what I mean is that if I add an event on my A40 today and the Fire is not switched on it does not seem to get added to the Fire when she switches it on tomorrow.
I also have many events I import in CSV format to the A40, none of these get synced to the Samsung or Google calendar or the Fire, there are past, current and future events on the A40 that do not sync anywhere.
I have been advised I need a 'server app' or an 'ics app' or a 'network provider', this app and that app and it's all getting a bit frustrating! There must be a way to sync an Android calendar on a A40 with a Calendar on the Fire directly, without using the PC. Can this be done say using Onedrive? or BTCloud and our home network? Am I wasting my time as this actually cannot be done!
So, here I am at the font of all knowledge, cap in hand!!
