Laptop does not show computers on home network

Laptop does not show computers on home network. Finely broke down upgraded from W-7 pro to W-10 pro version 1909. Have two desk tops using Ethernet cables and two lap tops using WiFi using a router all on home network. All work great for a number years using W-7. One of the desk tops has a network printer. All were upgraded to W-10 pro. All but one laptop seems to be working. The network printer on the laptop works just fine. I can see all shared folder in the laptop, but no computer show on the laptop looking at networks from explorer.

Change the 'Workgroup' name of each machine, so they are all the same
Reboot all 3 comps. Hopefully after that, you will be back to normal again.

I have change all to the workgroup. I also opened the wife laptop that had W-10 OEM factory installed that was work before upgrading the others to W-10. Now it has the same issue. I have found maybe two or all have shown all network computers. Also when I try to see any folders on the computers they states "folder is empty". Then after trying different things the same computer it stops showing network computers. Got very tired of playing with something I know very little about. Called MS tech service. Paid the 100 bucks for a year of tech help. The first girl that could speak very english work with remote access for 2 + hours. It was worse than when she started. The following day a higher level tech called back. He spent a good 2 hours and found the same issue. Computers were changing, one would show all network computers, then the next time all were missing. He copied a bunch of stuff to send to MS. I will make a post if MS finds the problem. To me it acts like a virus. All computers are using Viper Advance Security, I have used it for over 10 years without any issues. I will not use some of the Anti-Virus developed in Russia.

    Sorry for slow reply

Sounds like your network is just abit confused and needs reconfiguring. Should be easy enough.

To start with, make sure the new Windows upgrades are signed in as local accounts. On the new Windows 10 upgrade machines, have you been into the 'Network and Sharing Center', then 'Set up a new connection or network'. Then choose your connection option which will probably be 'Connect to the Internet' for home use and not a business. Do this to each new Win10 upgraded machines with a reboot.
Are all machines set to the same 'Private' network?
This should basically help with Win10 firewall settings anyways, and will be a good start to getting them all linked up.

    What else have you tried?

At times it is best just better to bite the bullet. I spent the hundred bucks and had Microsoft fix it. The first tech spent two and half hours, it was worse, than when she started. Second leave tech call back the second day. He spent an other two and half hours with little gain. He took some files for Microsoft to look at. Two days latter a third tech and spent an three more hours, and it was fixed. He said that at times when computers are upgraded from windows 7 that had home networking can be a problem, and it was. So my hundred dollars was worth the price.

I've noticed that my two occasionally need a couple of reboots when one can see the other, but the other can't find the path to the first. There are various such reports here of inconsistency of this sort, unfortunately.

This thread lists some useful resources for future reference:
Lets put together a troubleshooting list for Windows networking
