Network ID and Password Requirement Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

I have several computers linked wirelessly in a Home Network. Most of the time
they work fine. I can transfer files between them with no issues, most of the time.
Occasionally, the Network barfs and requires me to enter an ID and Password.

Since I don't recall ever doing that, I do not have one to enter.

How can I defeat this ID/Password requirement ? I am in my own home with my
own computers, why all this security ?

    Thanks for your help.

All routers come from the factory with a default account. If you didn't re-set it or override the password, then normally the userid is "Admin", password can be anything. Your best bet is to dig up the old documentation and see if it is listed there.

    Richard,

1 Create a local Admin account on each computer. Same username & password on each account. You do not need to log in to it, just create it. {Write the password down somewhere convenient yet secure. Mine are on a strip of paper that lives in a dog ID tag-cylinder on my keyring.} Add Local Account or Microsoft Account - TenForumsTutorials
2 Enter that account username and password when you are challenged for network credentials.
3 I do not know why you keep getting challenged for this information. I have only had to enter it once on each computer.

Note - storageman's post relates to problems connecting to your router's interface but that does not seem to be relevant.
