wlan report shows no summary chart and interactivity

    Hello there,

I created a wireless network report with netsh wlan show wlanreport like described here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4000462

When I open it in a browser, I don't see the Wi-Fi summary chart as expected but only a black window (see screenshot below).

The report also lacks interactivity. When I click the plus sign (see screenshot below) nothing happens. I suppose it should show further information.

I tried it in Chrome, Firefox and IE but that doesn't make any difference.

    Help would be much appreciated.

Upload the report as an attachment.

    I couldn't upload the html- or xml-file, so I uploaded it as a text-file.

I see everything that is in that report in there. Have you tried opening it up on another machine? There are items in that report that are contained in C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/WlanReport/wlan-report-latest.html. That directory contains all wlan reports.

I just found the error: JavaScript failed because there were some wrong quote signs in the script tag.

For example line 27355 fails like this:
"message":"Funktionsänderung für "{3ae05c50-8eb8-4602-b1fd-6b6277dcd931}" (Familie (0x47008000000000): v4, Funktion: Internet, ChangeReason: ActiveHttpProbeSucceeded)",

There must be single quotes inside the double quotes:
"message":"Funktionsänderung für '{3ae05c50-8eb8-4602-b1fd-6b6277dcd931}' (Familie (0x47008000000000): v4, Funktion: Internet, ChangeReason: ActiveHttpProbeSucceeded)"

It now works for me. Weird enough that it seemed to work for everyone else before...

I just went through the text attachment. Looks like you are using a Fritz box. Sad thing is that you see a lot of 2.4ghz radio congestion with the Wireless-n mode and channels. If congestion is a issue, get a Wireless Access Point that can do 5ghz even if all that your computer can do Wireless-n and 5ghz, it is better than on the elder 2.4ghz band.
