Local IP returned instead of remote VPN's IP

    Yes I can ping those addresses and also things like msn.com google.fr etc
    The curious thing is that I had been using M/S Edge (when I raised this ticket) which regularly fails when the VPN is running but now I have migrated everything to FireFox and it all works like a dream (and I don't get the msn.com "news" feeds which is a delight).
    By the way I fixed the remote IP to 10.10.100.30 for internal reasons within the remote network and I guess that is why the subnet mask is 255.255.255.255

    Thanks for all your comments which have helped lead me to (a) binning Edge (b) using open DNS

    It's all magic, smoke and mirrors anyway. Phase of the moon is important and how thick the moss is on the north side of the trees is this year.
