network sharing to my pc stopped working.

I didn't change any settings. It was working before.

Now other devices on the network can't access my pc through the network.

When they ping \\mypc, they can resolve the ip address just fine. They can connect to other ports on my pc, like vnc and ftp.

They just can't connect through the windows file sharing ports.

When other devices use \\mypc or \\192.168.0.100, they can't connect

i rebooted, I disabled the firewall, and they still can't connect over the network to my pc.

I don't know what could be blocking them

    What should I check?

edit: somehow after running Network Reset several times, it finally started working again

You should connect to a share ie \\192.168.0.100\sharename

i did a network reset, and now the other network pc's can see my computer, but still can't connect to my computer's network shares.

even if i type \\mypc\share$ from another pc, it still won't prompt for the password like it used to.
    still can't connect
    \\ipaddress\share doesn't work either.

i don't know where else to look. It was working perfectly for years. All of a sudden it breaks.

    according to TCPview, ports 135, 137 138 139 445 are all listening.

what's even more weird is... if I manually set my LAN ip to 192.168.0.222, and type in \\192.168.0.222 on the address bar the same computer, it will not open, even though that is the localhost ip.

\\localhost works, but \\192.168.0.222 does not.

Have you made shares with $ \\mypc\share$ as they are hidden admin shares all drives have one ie c$ d$

Try from a cmd prompt change x to the drive letter if computer name doesnt work try IP

    net use x: \\computer name\sharename /user username password
