    Do you advise homeplug?

I am living in kinds of old building where there is no LAN available
in my bedroom but my PC must stay in this room. Extending LAN
cable from the kitchen (where LAN is available) makes it very
inconvenient. Is it better to use homeplug or to use a wireless
router? If I use a wireless router instead, do I need to purchase
a receiver to be plugged into my PC or does it usually come with
a router? Thanks for any advice in advance.

If you add a wireless router to your modem and want to receive the signal on your PC, than you will also have to something like a wireless USB stick to pick up that signal. They are relatively inexpensive, whereas home plugs are a bit more costly. Home plugs are great, but one thing to keep in mind is you need one dedicated hydro circuit, (eg one electrical panel to the house/building) it won't work properly if you're in a building that shares multiple circuits.

    Good luck!
