[Cannot connect to server "Windows"] pop up for no explicable reason

Windows 10 on parallels on mac, Suddenly on startup I get a pop up box that says [there was a problem connecting to server "windows"] and below it the standard server may not exist, check ip etc. But I have NO CLUE what or where this is trying to connect. I have no server with the actual name "windows". I can't think of anything I did differently between before this this message popped up and after. It comes up on startup from sleep or from reset or stop and restart. there is an image in the message of a disk drive looking thing with three silhouette people on a blue background. Seems like I've seen it before but can't place it. I'm betting it's generic but just in case I hunted for it as a logo but didn't find it.
Any ideas on how I can find out what is generating this?

You are best to use the Parallels site for help with this. KB Parallels: Parallels Access: Unable to connect to the server

Parallels access does not seem to be running on this device. Worse the Parallels article you referred too said turn off everything else AND disable your firewall. That sound's like it's asking for trouble.

Your answer lies in the Parallels forums. This is troubleshooting 101, since you are running Windows inside a Virtual Machine not a physical partition.

I'll go to that forum but I don't see how you are jumping to the conclusion that this is coming from Parallels? unless you recognize the three silhouettes on a blue background as parallels, which I don't. Trouble shooting 1 is don't jump to conclusions so I have to assume you must recognize that icon?

Start by troubleshooting what Parallels has known to be an issue with running Windows in their Virtual Machine software, especially with the changes to Windows 10 that companies like Parallels cannot keep up with. If still not fixed, let Parallels know and post on their forum for help.

The error is because Parallels runs Windows as a VM Server in their software.
