    Can't connect to remote Printer

    Hi Torquemada
You certainly know your way around Windows !
I ran Reg Edit and there a few minor differences.
The first is Display Name, which in my Registry is Print Spooler. Yours is the same as the line above it - the location.
    The FailureActions are very different. Mine is 80 51 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 14 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 60 ea 00 00
The other difference is in the last item Type where you have 0x00000110 (272). I have 0x00000010 (16)
Looking back at Services Properties In Recovery I have for the first and second failures -"Restart the Service". This may relate to the FailureActions.
I hope all this means something to you. I assume you must be an IT professional unlike me.

    Hi

Sorry if you've checked this already but my HP wireless printer (LaserJet Pro 200 M276MW) stopped working after the Win 10 upgrade. I had to uninstall the driver and download a new one from the HP site which then prompted me to download an App for the app store - now all working well. :)

Far from it, I'd be glad of any assistance in this matter. Struggling here.
Are you running an upgraded W7/W8 system and not a W10 clean install. I suspect you are.

Thanks very much for jumping in. It sounds very encouraging. I have two HP Wireless printers and both stopped working when I installed Windows 10. Excuse my ignorance but is uninstalling the old driver difficult ?
I think I can look for the new drivers on the HP website and presumably they will guide me to the app if necessary.
I will get on to it first thing tomorrow. Thanks again.

I just ran the driver search and update tool from the HP web site which did the un-install for me.

    So you problem isn't fixed?

Have you tried opening 'Device Manager', selecting the printer, right clicking and selecting 'Update Driver' ?

Device Manager shows two unidentified devices ! Right clicking on either of them does not give the Update Driver option. Settings/Printers and Devices shows all of my printers but with the notation "Driver not available".
Next mystery, Device Manager now shows under Other Devices an unidentified device. If you right click on it , you do get the option Update Driver. But if you click this it does a lot of searching but then reports not found.

Within Printers and Devices, right click one of the HP printers and click remove, then select 'Add Printer' from the task bar and reinstall.

If this doesn't work, try in Safe mode {Open MSConfig then select Boot and check Safe Mode and Networking.

    Then try point one again.
