Internally on the LAN you may not be assigned along with having Dual-Stack availabl. On the Enterprise side and backbone, VZ would route traffic. There are still enough IPv4 addresses available, that we are still far from running out.

IP translation tools are available and have been for some time now. Many are web based.
Many ISP's simply recycle their vast pool of IPv4 addresses to customers to have discontinued or changed services.

IPv6 is used on many internal backbones while IPv4 is more front facing because their format is short and familiar.

Make no mistake - at the current pace IPv6 addresses will appear to the consumer faster than you think.
