My wi-fi driver goes offline several times a week. Disabling and reenabling it in Device Manager doesn't work, so I have to restart Windows to get the driver working again. The drivers from Lenovo can't be installed; the installers just generate error messages. Uninstalling and deleting the current driver, then restarting Windows works, but the fresh driver still has problems. Is there a way to fix this?
Odd that the actual drivers from Lenovo won't even install. Are these drivers that were designed for Win 10 or are they for a previous OS?
Also, when you say that the driver goes offline, is that because Windows update is installing a new driver over the one you installed? You can verify this by checking to see if the driver version is changing.
Also, just curious what kind of errors you get when you try to install the Lenovo provided drivers. Any hint at all from the errors as to what is happening?
Finally, what is the model of the Lenovo?
I don't have an exact answer for you as I don't have a Lenevo nor do you state which type of wireless adapter you have. One thing you should check is the drivers for your specific adapter and delete the ones that are in your windows/system32/drivers directory. I do know that re-installing drivers may not replace the drivers that are in that directory, and the existing ones may be corrupted. This approach worked for me when I had similar issues with an Intel AC8260 adapter.

The drivers at the Lenovo site are both for Windows 10.The three numbers which refer to the model are: G50-70, 20351, 80DY59421807.The Intel driver (which I don't think I need) generates a message about the installer files being corupted, and the Atheros driver generates "No Appropriate Drivers to be installed". I think that these are same messages I got when I had this problem under the 1803(?) update.The version number inside Device Manager was 3.0.2.201 before and after the most recent failure.The adapter is Qualcomm Atheros AR956x.Deleting the old drivers doesn't seem to have changed anything.Disabling "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" didn't accomplish anything.

I notice that IPv6 is enabled. Have you tried disabling that?
I'm not sure, but I think it might be a hardware problem. The connectors connecting the antenna to the wi-fi module are a bit loose. I started to suspect a hardware issue, because I accidentally discovered that hibernating the computer is the fastest way to get the wi-fi working again.

Have you tried using the Lenovo System Update utility to see if it will get you a new Wi-Fi driver, or is your laptop too old to run that software?
