Change from Business to Home network doesn't stick

When I change from This computer is part of a Business network to This is a Home computer then reboot, then change doesn't stick. It goes right back to Business Network.

All I have are two Desktops (Win 10 and Win 7) and two Laptops (both Win 10). I don't remember setting any of therm up as Business.

Also, after the reboot, I was forced to log with my PIN instead of a password which screwed up the auto-login. How do I get the password back as my login method?

Note: My laptop uses a fingerprint reader and my Win 10 VM uses a PIN. I don't want to delete the PIN, I just want this Desktop to use a password as it's logon method.

Found a possible fix: See this WEB article: How to Set Default Sign-in Option in Windows 10

Trying it now. If it works it will allow me to keep the Laptop using a PIN and my Desktop using a password.

That screen you get when you click Network ID... is described as a 'wizard'. It's confusing wording, but that initial screen is NOT showing what you are currently set up for. It is just that the default choice is to join a domain should you click Next and continue setting up with the wizard. This is what I see...

To set up manually without using the wizard, click Change... instead. That DOES show how you are currently set. This is how that same PC is actually configured...

Ah, okay. Yeah, I'm fine there, setup as WORKGROUP.

Why though did selecting This is a home computer then clicking Next force me to start using my PIN instead of a password. Apparently I didn't actually change anything. I ended up having to delete the PIN, nothing else worked.Of cource that forced me to change my password and validate my MS account. What a PITA.
