    Network sharing

Ok, so I made a bad decision. I renamed my computer from an assigned name after I got a new hard drive. I lost sharing with two other computers in my household. They can share with each other but not me. I followed the directions about right clicking on the folder to share, but when I put in computer name of others, it doesn't recognize them. And sometimes instead of "share with", it comes up with only advanced sharing option and I add user name to share and it has no result. Everything was fine before I changed computer name....all three computers were able to access both public and specific name user files. My husband has a headache having already fixed us up the first time. If I change my computer name back, I assume it won't put sharing back the way it was cuz once I changed new name the old name would no longer be recognized, even though it's still showing up on network list?
    Help please
P.S. I'm getting an error code 0x80070035 saying network path not found. I think I had to get on phone with a tech to get me thru the paths when I had this problem a few years ago. I forget how I got that person on the phone

I was able to reach a Microsoft tech via who accessed all computers remotely to change settings to say "everyone" share. He said renaming a computer is like getting a new one. I said I wasn't given a warning before changing, but he pointed out that changing anything in "systems properties" is indication your in sensitive territory. (My husband was able to get them all sharing when the one just had new hard drive put in, tho, which is also like a new computer :) It was worth the $49 for the tech's help, covering one month.

p.s. This is what tech did:
Thanks for contacting Microsoft support. Based on our discussion here is what we did.
    Troubleshooting steps applied:
    - Verified in the user folders the permissions were correct.
Right click in the user account folder.
    Selected Properties.
    Went to Security Tab.
Select Add and type in the box "Everyone".
Applied changes to all the subfolders and files.
Went to Sharing tab and select Advanced Sharing.
In Advanced Sharing selected Add and typed "Everyone".
    Applied changes.
Computers can now see each other.

Hello, I was wondering if network file sharing can be allowed only over my office's WiFi and disable on all other networks such as hotspots.
The question is clearly described in the Microsoft forums so I'll link it here. Basically, it is about getting back the "Network and Sharing" option in right click menu of the taskbar network icon instead of the new "Network and internet Settings"...
