DNLA No longer function since previous Windows 10 release

It worked find until I did a clean install now nothing I do or can find to do to get it to work with my BluRay player works! I tried everything. I can get it to work if I roll back to a version it worked on than upgrade but a clean install kills it and nothing seems to work. I enabled all services I can find to enable based on Google searches yet nothing works. Sharing the Video's folder to Everyone also does not work. Seems my player relied on HomeGroup for it to work properly. I am using Universal Media Server but it is not ideal since it does not always work properly.
Anyone else encountered this problem an managed to find the key ingredient to get DNLA to work again?

    Thanks

    Hi!
You don't mention which version of Windows 10 you have but this shouldn't matter! I've used DLNA for years and it always works. I use Windows Media Players streaming function. Don't know of Universal Media Server.
Just make sure you turn on media streaming in WMP; klick on the sub menu "Stream" then "More streaming options".

Latest version of Windows.... worked fine until a clean install of 1903 after a insteall that went from 1703 to 1903 I think are the version but since clean install no go. Think my player a Samsung relied on HomeGroup. I am sure it will work if I downgrade to 1703 than set it up than upgrade but I wanted a clean install to get rid of all the bloody recovery partitions that are created with each upgrade. Guess I am SOL since I tried EVERYTING!

You would be best to use VLC.Nothing relied on Home Group. Home Group was a Microsoft windows Home only feature that allowed users to share libraries. Had zero to do with media sharing.

Well since they removed it in the last edition my DNLA stopped working entirely and that is the only major networking change since last version of Windows. Before that it was always as simple as going to Media Player and enabling streaming. I have everything enable but no joy. If I rolled back to 1703 or whatever version was before previous Windows it works find and if I upgrade after it will still work but after a clean install to 1903 I get nothing. Oh well I guess I will need to stick to Universal Media Server even though sometime the show freezes on me. Yes I also tried sharing the Video folder to Everyone but still nothing.
I made sure all the relevent service are set to Automatic Delayed start but still no joy.

Home Group going away has zero to do with DLNA. How To Enable DLNA Server in Windows 10

I use my NVIDIA shield with Plex Server and have had no issues on my network.

Done all that but no joy on my Samsung BD Player. I had it working right up until a clean install of 1809 since than it hasn't worked. Was able to get it to work after I crashed my install and had to rely on a older 1703 or 1709 Windows 10 DVD I had and it continued to work after upgrade to latest but I didn't like the extra recovery partitions so I did a clean install and it stopped working like it did when I had to do a clean install of 1809 when upgrade failed to upgrade.
