Then just google for "Qualcomm Atheros AR956x specs" or whatever it is.
I was querying your statement, "get Wireless chipset details from the Device Manager".

Thanks for all the replies. i am starting to think that the Wireless card is to old....Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1NG... All i can get from Googling is its N capable nothing about the frequencies.

My laptop is a Toshiba Qosmio F750 and it picks up the 2.4Ghz OK. All my other Devices are connected to the 5Ghz band . I went to Toshibas support page to see if there was an updated driver but alas not.

Also while Googling i came across a post from Microsoft saying that the Windows 10 May update (1903) had a problem with this card and had blocked future updates until a newer driver was released.

Now wondering if its possible to upgrade to a different Wireless card...I do not want to get a new laptop just to get the 5Ghz frquency
    Thanks

You could buy a USB Wireless adapter that has AC wireless support so you don't have to buy a new laptop.
