    "Cast To" Problem

I use this every weekend for my great granddaughter, to sleep with at night, but have experienced some strange problem. Most of her movies will play but then there are some that do not play and says "unexpected device error". I have checked the properties of the ones that do play with ones that do not play and have not found any reason that would prevent them from playing. Has anyone encountered this and was able to solve the problem, thanks.

Perhaps try the freeware MediaInfo? Install it then right-click on a working video then a non-working video... MediaInfo will give a complete breakdown of codecs, framerate, aspect ratio, etc.

    Compare the results for discrepancies.

    Hope this helps...

Compared 3 files 2 don't play and 1 does but no difference, so don't know why they won't play.

Wha is the device that you are trying to cast to, what software are you using to cast the media that you are trying to do so with? Plex works very well, same as VLC, but depending on the device used to receive said videos, you can rub into issues with that device.

Casting from win 10 to samsung tv; 90% play fine and 10% say unexpected error. Just using the cast to that is part of win 10 os. Thanks
