Does "Mirrored Volume" work over network?

I'm talking about mirrored volumes as described here:

How to set up a mirrored volume for file redundancy on Windows 10 | Windows Central

(I searched TenForums for an equivalent tutorial but didn't find one.)

I ask this question for two scenarios:

    1) If I have two hard drives in a Win10 desktop PC that is connected by wired LAN to a home network. I set one to be the mirrored volume of the other. If someone on another computer on the network writes a file to the first disk over the network, will it be automatically mirrored onto the second?

    2) I have an external 2-bay NAS, like this one:

    and set to JBOD.

Can I configure each PC on the network to automatically mirror these? That is, if I transfer a file from ay computer on the network to disk 1, it will automatically be mirrored onto disk 2 - but not in RAID 1 - just mirrored per the linked article.

    Thank you.
