Need help on basic sharing query

    OK, not an expert here.
    I have a W7 computer laptop.
I then bought a W10 computer. It connected via the same router.
I then created a folder and made it sharable.
When I try file explorer on my W10 computer, it finds the folder under network.
But when I look on my W7 computer, that folder is not there.
Maybe my two computers are not on the same network (although they can both access my remote printer)?
I suspect there is a simple solution.
What I want is to be able to store files in the folder on any computer and have it available on both computers.
I think there is some simple routine solution -- I hope so!

Have you set up a share and given everyone rights you then need to set NTFS permission as well

I meant to add that I have another W10 laptop.
No joy as that folder is still not visible.

I did set up sharing (via control panel network).

I'm not sure how to give everyone rights. I am the only user and I have administrative privileges.

I don't know how to do NTFS privileges.

Ok, I did give everyone rights.
Still it appears that none of my other devices (the other W10 and W7 computer) are recognized as being part of my network.
