    Duplicate vEthernet Switch Adapters?

I have two instances of a vEthernet Switch Adapter after installing a VM in Hyper V. I only have the default switch installed in Hyper V. How do I remove the greyed out adapter? Right clicking does not allow me to delete anything

    Hello Steve,

What switches does it show in the "Virtual Switch Manager" from the Hyper-V Manager?

Hyper V shows the default switch plus I have a legacy network adapter linked to the default switch in the VM

I suppose you could test by removing all the Hyper-V switches, reset network adapters, and create a new Hyper-V switch to see if only it shows up in network adapters.

Will try tomorrow. I thought about uninstalling / reinstalling Hyper V from the Windows options but will I lose my VM machine configuration if I do that?

You would lose the VMs listed in Hyper-V Manager, but you can import the VMs back to how they were.

Export Hyper-V Virtual Machine in Windows 10

Import Hyper-V Virtual Machine in Windows 10
