Actually the title does not. See Router Charts - WAN to LAN Throughput - TCP for your answer.

Look at the link I posted for the chart that will tell you everything. You can also change the pull down to see other results. WAN to LAN is what you need to look at. Gig speed over wifi or ethernet will only get as high as 941 in a perfect scenario due to overhead. Unless you start looking at Enterprise grade equipment, SOHO will have limitations.

The Nighthawk series is right now the fastest consumer/SOHO series out there.

The bigger question is does your modern support gigabit internet? The Nighthawk AC2600 does. The Pro Gaming XR300 is only an AC1750. Slower WiFi than the AC2600. Also ate you running a wired Ethernet connection or WiFi.

the website is confusing and can not find the routers i am looking for.

so what speeds would my ac2600 run if it was wired to my PC if i were to get 1gb internet

Gigabit. That's why they are called gigabit LAN ports. Your modem would have a gigabit WAN port to connect to the router.

    i have a cm600 atm but i will upgrade to cm1000.

so what would be better in terms of wired connection AC2600 or XR300

and why would the XR300 be "worse" than the AC2600? i mean i dont care too much for my wireless connections its just gonna be 2 mobile devices and 1 tablet. as long as it can handle like 100mb down im okay with it but im mainly worried about the wired connection to my PC via ethernet

Wired connection won't matter much, they are both gigabit LAN routers.
