Ping spikes every 10 seconds after hibernate

    Hello everyone

I have an issue, that my wireless internet connection is getting ping spikes 2500ms+ every 10 seconds.
The weird thing is that it only occurs after hibernation. If i restart the computer, everything is fine, but as soon as i do a hibernation, the problem is back.
I am running a fully updated version of windows 10 home
My wireless adapter is a TP-Link Archer t4u v2 where I manually installed the latest driver from their website, which is the latest compared to the one from windows update.
I have tried closing all open programs after the hibernation (including anti virus) and the lag spikes are still there. There is no spikes to see in any program in the task manager.
    What could be causing this?

    Thanks in advance!

Just the system doing its thing. Try not using Hibernate by turning off with the command powercfg /hibernate off and see if it still does it after coming out of a sleep state.

Some Routers also tend to be the problem at times, not the computing device.

    Thanks for answering
I know that it will work without hibernate, but I like using hibernate to save power during the day.
I put the system into hibernation and cut the power on the wall socket. When I get back and boot the PC everything is the way I left it and I don't have to wait for apps to start up.
I know that it is a very small inconvenience, but if it could be fixed so I can keep using hibernate it would be great

    Best regards

The thing with pings is its used as a denial of service attack so lots of devces will drop the connection on a ping to protect its self so it means nothing

That sounds great, but unfortunately I can feel it if I go into a game communicating with a online server. Every 10 seconds or so(just like when I am pinging) I get a huge lag spike, that makes any online game unplayable unless it is turn based.

Okay so possibly I solved it now, I reinstalled the 1903 major update and it seems to work now. I will keep an eye on it for the next few days, then I will mark as solved.
Maybe some bad communication between windows and the wireless adapter?

    The problem still persists unfortunately

    Update again
So I just tried restarting the WLAN Autoconfig service after the hibernation and this seems to have fixed the issue.
I am guessing that the services are suspended while doing hibernate and this might not do anything good for that particular service?

    Best regards
