Since 1903 Windows server off line.

Installed 1903 yesterday, I have a Windows Home server setup and before the update launchpad was OK after it will not load reporting server off line. I can access the server direct and find some folders are accessible via networking but others report I don't have permission. My backup program is working on some folders but not all. I wasn't using home network so that's not he problem.
Sorry for both spellings (am dyslexic) and rather poor information, I am very much an amateur!

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding, but are you referring to the actual product called "Windows Home Server" or WHS for short?

Launchpad was a unique experience to simplify administration of a WHS or Windows Server Essentials. It is not a part of Windows 10.

Yes its WHS, I think I have a way of solving it,. I was told if I uninstall and reinstall it that might sort out the problem. So I will give that ago at the weekend.

Maybe I'm still being slow here. So when you say you installed 1903, you mean on a different system and not the WHS, right?

Also, I'm trying to recall what Launchpad was exactly. Was that the client piece that you install on all the Windows clients that access the WHS which facilitates the backups, etc?

If I have all those details right, then I agree - try reinstalling the client component again on your 1903 client(s). My big concern is whether WHS has any expectation of being reliable with Windows 10. The last version of WHS was WHS 2011 which only supported clients up to Windows 7 officially.

Uninstalling and reinstalling works. Found on line though MS only withdrew support to WHS few months ago many fond new versions of W10 caused this problem and one way round it was to uninstall launchpad before the update and reinstall afterwords. Until this version I have never had any problem but know now what to do.

Glad that worked! Been a long time since I used Windows Home server. I actually used to have one of the dedicated Windows Home Server systems from HP way back when those first came out. That's quite a long time ago.
