Software that can alert me of the connection status of a device?
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a software that can alert me (preferably using email) when a device is disconnected from my Wi-Fi?
I have a couple of devices that it is quite important that stay online and I'd like to be notified if and when they drop out.
I have the Asus GT-AC5300 and I find it somewhat strange that this router is not able to provide such a service.

When you connect your device to your Wi-Fi there is an option: "Reconnect if disconnected" would if help if you mark that option? This would cause the device to auto reconnect to the router when it disconnects for some reason.
You could also set your rooter for remote access so you can access the settings of your router even through the internet and check what devices are currently connected to the router.

Unfortunately these devices are not Windows devices. One is a radio and another is a printer to name a couple. I have however a PC with Windows 10 that is always on. It was this computer I was hoping to run a software that could notify if the former devices was disconnected.

Yes, I have such an access, but I miss the automatic notification. I did have a device previously called Fingbox. It was capable of notifying if a device became offline. Unfortunately, this Fingbox degraded the overall performance of my Wi-Fi network, so I had to disconnect it. So, I'm looking for something that will do the same...

I think it is possible to make a script on that Windows 10 PC to ping the other devices and if the ping fails send a message or something informing that one of the devices is not connected.

It sounds reasonable yes, but way above my knowledge level
