    Canon U.S.A., Inc. | CanoScan LIDE 400

    I used the second one.

CanoScan LiDE 400 Scanner Driver Ver.1.00 (Windows)

I put the install file and that driver on the tablet,

It installed without connecting to the Internet. Tested okay.

I am seeing several options for ad hoc networks. One uses a variation on a crossover cable. I do not want to go there.

    Another suggests using Bluetooth.

The hangup right now is getting the tablet paired with the desktop or the other way around.

This screenshot shows what happens when I try it from the desktop side.
I am guessing the ID is that of the desktop?

I have not yet tried to start this process from the tablet.

My guess is that I am missing something?
    Any thoughts.
I have not gotten far with either of these yet. They may not work?

Interesting. So your scanner is connected to desktop and your desktop is pair with other computer using bluetooth?

No. The Canon flat-bed scanner will now connect with either machine.

The issue IS moving the files from one machine to the other using Bluetooth as better way then putting the files on a flash drive and hand-carrying them from one machine to the other.
