This is an attempt to learn if a solution has been found to an unsolved problem.

A solution was promised in 2018, but the issue has done unresolved. Has any progress been made?
You might check your network card in device manager and un-check turn this device of to save power.
next you might check your modem/router's setup for leases and extend the lease on both computers
to the max (depends on the modem ,mines set for 4 hours)'
this isn't a solution just a work around.

Are you still able to access the drives? There may be a red X, but if you actually try to click on them, does it let you into the drive?
If so, this has been an issue for a while and I don't know if there's a fix. At least there's not an automatic fix.
