Remote desktop connection fails due to authentication error “CredSSP e

Remote desktop connection fails due to authentication error “CredSSP encryption oracle remediation",

I couldn’t figure out why I’m getting the message in the screenshot below as I applied “Remote desktop connection”. The resources and documentation in the internet doesn’t solve the problem

What could be the issue here?

This is a security vulnerability protection. When your computer (that you're connecting from) has a newer set of patches than the computer you're connecting to (probably unpatched) then you get this warning that prevents you from connecting.

The long term solution is to apply the latest service pack to the computer you're connecting to. The short term solution (if you cannot log on locally to the computer) is to either try and connect with an older unpatched version of Windows (so you can apply the patches) or find some other way to do it.

Note: It has nothing to do with Oracle.... the flaw was first reported with oracle, but applies to other services like RDP.
