    Hello @Bromance902,

The Ethernet bit in the pop-up Connect to Ethernet, is the name of the network adapter you will connect to if you click on the Network icon.

If you wanted to change the name of Ethernet, then you would need to change the name of that network adapter to what you wanted instead.

Hello @Brink, I don't think there's any solution for what I'm looking for. I have to accept that... Thank you all for your help!

Is renaming the "Ethernet" bit what you wanted to do?

Does Ethernet seem to be ''Internet'' on the lock screen? I understood this from what you said. If you want me to try this? I've changed the network name before. I've never changed the Ethernet name.

It'll be worth a try to see if renaming the "Ethernet" network adapter to what you want will help. It should show that name in the "Connect to <name>" pop-up.

Although I change the Ethernet name to "Verbindung mit dem Internet", it still appears as "Internet" on the lock screen. The pop-up we mentioned does not change unfortunately..

That's unfortunate. Does it change the name while signed in to Windows 10?

No, it doesn't change in any way. I wonder if we can solve this problem with regedit?

Well, it was worth a try to see renaming the referenced network adapter would do the trick.

There may be a regedit option, but I'm afraid I don't know where the value is if there is one for it.

If it may help with the search, the tutorial below is for adding and removing the Network icon on the Lock and Sign-in screens.
