    Port Triggering

    Hello,
So I'm attempting to play an online game with my two children and I've been experiencing some latency issues as have they. I wanted to setup Port Triggering as I've noticed when attempting to do the Port Forwarding it's only opening the ports for my computer's IP address instead of any/all devices connected to the router.
I have the Cisco DPC3941T which is the Xfinity version. One of the ports to be opened is TCP 7000. I've put 7000 in both Trigger and Target Ports and it says conflicting. I did read that the Trigger and Target Ports need to be different but I don't understand then how to setup Port Triggering with the one port number which is 7000. So what should my Trigger Port be? 7000? And then what should the Target Port be?

What game is this? Are your kids on the same local network as you?

I doubt port triggering will do what you want but that maybe the game has some weird port behavior.

Are all of you on the same network? What is the game? Most game servers are hosted on a private LAN and will have latency issues.

It's Everquest 2 and we are all playing on the same network at home. That's why if I use port forwarding to open the ports it wants my computer's IP Address. So how can I open ports for all computers on the same network?

Also I setup the port forwarding and I have one website saying the ports aren't open and a program saying they are however I'm still experiencing a high ping time in game.

    Here are the port numbers:

    TCP 7000, 7010 UDP 3016-3021, 9700-9703, 9100, 32800-33000

Is there a way to setup Port Forwarding for Any User? Any Device connected to the same network?

Nope. On a network, it is done at the Router/Gateway. With games, you will run into these kind of problems, since the servers work with the Public IP, not individual systems behind the Gateway.
