    RealTek Wifi keeps disconnecting


    I have a lenovo 730 YOGA. The wifi will not stay connected to any network (home, work, Marriott, ATT hotspots etc.) I read in another forum that this is a common problem with the Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC.
    My computer is less than a year old and I have had more trouble with it. Some people have said they had to send theirs back for repair and received a new wifi. I am about to throw this computer but if I do I will lose all my hard work.

    Someone surely has a remedy for this!! Please help a girl out!

    Hi czaricor. Welcome to the TenForums @czaricor

    Easy fix is a wireless dongle. $25 - $40 dollars. You want the very short one so you can leave it in laptop and not worry about breakage.

    Another item you could try. Download the driver from the lenovo site. Check in device manager for the currently installed version. Uninstall it and all software. Install driver from Lenovo and confirm driver version number in device manager.

    Test.

    If that works you will have to tell windows to lay off the driver updates. Option 4 this tutorial.

    Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10

    Additionally if that works you will need to do this each Feature update as Windows will help you again by installing latest.

    The cheapest and easiest fix is the dongle.

    It depends why it's disconnected it could simply be another router is on the same channel
